Spotting United Kingdom

August 4, 2022

RAF Lakenheath

Since there were serious rumors the day before that the F-22s were going to leave this week, made us to spend day 4 also at RAF Lakenheath.
And when we arrived at the spotting site, there was barely room to park our car, whereas the previous days at the same hour there was not a car to be seen, which meant that something “big” was going to happen today.

The Raptors departed in 3 groups of 4 aircraft each with a gap of a good hour between them.

For some participants, this was the big moment of the trip, as they had never seen an F-22 before.
So you see, whether it is your first trip or not, with us you are always welcome.

My first experience of traveling with spotters I had never met before did not disappoint, quite the opposite.
I had a great time while spotting in the UK, and all thanks to Global Aviation Travels.
Highly recommended and definitely worth repeating.

RAF Mildenhall

After everyone had recovered a bit from the Raptor departures, we headed to nearby RAF Mildenhall for a few more hours.
