Hualien Air Base
In the morning, we took our seats on the 1st and 2nd floors of a dilapidated building right next to the Carrefour.
There, after a few hours, we were visited by the local police asking us to move to another place as we were not allowed to take pictures of the base.
There were also some ordinary security questions.
Alternatively, there is the rooftop parking lot of the Carrefour, but even there these people can show up.
The disadvantage is that you do face the sun in the morning at this position.
Since we were thus no longer allowed to stay at our previous place, we started looking for another place.
We found this one not far from a small water treatment plant along a not very wide road, but where we had the sun at our backs.
Around noon we were then allowed to move again, but this time for the sun.
